The short answer: NO. You are not required by law to receive more than one estimate in order to get your vehicle fixed.
We are more than willing to provide your insurance company with a detailed estimate of all the repairs necessary for processing a claim. For your convenience, we are also able to send a damage quote that includes digital pictures directly to the claims office.
We will need to obtain a copy of the estimate of record even if you have received an estimate. We request this because there is a possibility of hidden damages on your vehicle. With the design of today’s vehicles, hidden or unforeseen damages are very common. With the estimate of record, we can contact the insurance carrier to collect supplemental damage payments and take that responsibility off your shoulders.
You have the right to freely choose any repair facility, and the insurance company must work with them.
Due to the compact design of newer vehicles and the use of more plastics and composite materials, there is a strong possibility that additional or hidden damages may be present that weren’t included in your insurance company’s estimate. Should this occur, we work with your insurance carrier directly to address these items.
If you have a deductible related to your insurance coverage, we will collect the deductible amount directly from you and bill your insurance provider for the remainder. We accept all major credit cards, personal checks with the proper identification, and cash.
Yes! Your vehicle and your peace of mind are important to us.
We are a full service collision repair center. Our services include auto body repairs, extremely high tech paint matching and heat painted booth, paintless dent repair, unibody, frame, and mechanical repair, complimentary shuttle service, pinstripes, and glass replacement. If you are working with an insurance company, we communicate directly with your provider to save you time.
If you choose not to repair your vehicle and cash-out your claim, anything else that happens to that area of your vehicle is going to be insured less than the damage already incurred. An example of this would be if you sustain hail damage on your hood and choose not to repair it but take the insurance payment.
Then imagine that you’re in a collision that requires your hood to be repaired. Since you have already been compensated for the hail damage and you chose not to repair it initially, your insurance carrier will deduct that amount from your claim for the accident.
If you have additional questions, please visit with your insurance agent directly.
A visible estimate is written only for what damage the appraiser can see without disassembling the vehicle. No hidden damage is assumed. Normally drive-in estimates (both repair facility and insurance company) are written as visible only because we do not want to potentially disable a vehicle if it is still drivable. Once a vehicle is in the repair shop, we remove the damaged parts and inspect for any hidden damage. This is common industry practice.
A Supplement is typically an estimate for hidden or additional damage that was not discovered during the initial visible estimate. Supplements and hidden damage are a normal occurrence because today’s vehicles are designed to crush from the “outside-in” to protect the occupants. If we find additional damage, we write a Supplement estimate and notify you or your insurance company to receive approval to continue with the repairs.
We will schedule your repair at a time most convenient for you. The repair time varies depending on the vehicle’s damage. At the time of your estimate, we will provide you with an anticipated repair timeline.
Yes, Beeman Automotive is an Accredited Member of the Better Business Bureau and has been since 1985.
As soon as we can view your vehicle, we will provide you with a visible damage quote. Keep in mind that we cannot provide estimates by phone; accurate estimates can only be written after a personal inspection of the vehicle is completed.
No, you are not required to have your vehicle repaired by the dealership. Regardless of your vehicle make, model, or year, you have the right to choose your own repair facility.
Please call us to schedule an appointment so we can view your vehicle and prepare your estimate. In many cases, we can obtain the necessary information and email the estimate to you or your insurance carrier.
The repair process will begin as soon as we receive the necessary approval from your insurance provider. We understand the inconvenience of not having your vehicle and that is why we focus on providing timely, quality collision repair.
Prior damage may not be covered by your insurance provider for your immediate claim. It is important to understand that we cannot include unrelated or prior damage in your repair estimate. It is unethical and fraudulent.
Your email address is extremely important to us once the repair process begins. This allows us to communicate with you if we are unable to reach you by phone. Your email address will never be shared or used other than for Beeman Automotive communications.
While we cannot speak for our competition, we can tell you that our services are directly focused on providing you a quality repair by expert auto body technicians. We’ve chosen to avoid “perks” or “free” services because we know that the cost of those benefits needs to be made up somewhere. That “somewhere” should not be from shortcuts on your vehicle repair. When you choose Beeman Automotive, you are choosing a quality full service auto body shop with an outstanding reputation in the Lincoln community and a loyal customer base who use our services time and time again.
We will be happy to schedule the use of a rental vehicle with your choice of agencies in Lincoln. In many cases the rental agency can meet you at our facility at the time of your vehicle drop off for repairs. The rental vehicle expense is determined by your insurance provider.
Paintless Dent Repair (or PDR) is a process by which minor dents can be removed from your vehicle without requiring the surface to be repainted. If this is an option for your vehicle, we will be certain to note it in the estimate.
Yes! After your collision repair, you will receive our complimentary interior vacuum, window cleaning, and exterior hand wash. Because of possible contaminates, we do not allow the use of wax or silicon products in the facility.
Waterborne paint is a high solids product where water is the carrier of the color instead of solvents. Waterborne paint is cleaner and generates 25 percent less pollution emissions than that of solvent paint. Most vehicle manufacturers have, or are moving to, waterborne paint systems.
Beeman Automotive uses waterborne paint because it is a superior and safer product that reduces environmental impact and allows us to better match automotive factory colors in the future. Waterborne paint does cost more and requires strict process compliance. This is why many competitors choose a lower quality paint and spray “solvent,” regardless of the long term impacts.
